Jasmine, pooja flowers and gajra: which to order

With pooja flowers the usual mistake is ordering the right flower in the wrong form. Jasmine comes loose or already strung. Pooja flowers come loose, boxed or in a basket, and the two boxes on this website are different products with different prices.

This guide sets the forms side by side, with the price each one lists. Where a product says market price, the day's price is quoted on WhatsApp before you confirm.

Loose jasmine, or finished gajra

Loose jasmine (malli, mallige) is for offering, or for stringing yourself to the length you want. Gajra is jasmine already strung, ready for hair or to hang. They are not interchangeable: loose flowers cannot be worn without stringing, and a gajra cannot be scattered as an offering.

For loose jasmine, tell us roughly how much you need. For gajra, tell us how many and how long. Neither quantity is fixed on the website, and we do not state a variety or where the jasmine is grown.

Daily pooja flowers and baskets

Daily pooja flowers are a loose mix for the day's pooja at home. A basket is packed to carry or to give, for a visit, a housewarming or a festival. For flowers on a regular schedule, subscriptions are listed separately and each plan is agreed on WhatsApp before it starts.

Bulk and ceremony requirements

For a temple, a function or a ceremony, flowers are quoted for the quantity and the date, not bought as a pack. Send what the event is, the date and time, the venue and what you need. Wedding garlands for the couple are a different order again, chosen by design code: see the wedding garland guide.
